One shopping list, sorted by aisle.
Anyone in the home adds to it and everyone sees it at once. Milk goes under Dairy & eggs, bread under Bakery. Search UK products or scan the barcode on the empty packet.

A first flat after uni, a student house in September, a couple moving in. Tandem is one shopping list, the chores, a calendar and the shop spending for everyone in the home, on iPhone.

Shopping mode
At the shop.
Start a shop and the others see you are at the shop. Big tick boxes and a count of what is left. Scan a barcode at the shelf to tick it off. When you finish, add the total or photograph the receipt.
Chores
Chores that take turns.
Bins every week, the bathroom every fortnight. Pick who does it or let Tandem take turns between you. A 30-day tally shows who did what. A reminder comes on the day, at the time you pick.
Calendar
Shared dates.
Rent day, the inspection, someone's parents visiting. Add a date for everyone or for one person, and make it repeat. Chores and hosting plans are on the same month. Tandem can also show your iPhone's calendars.
Spending
Who paid for the shop.
Add the total after each shop. Tandem shows who paid this month and, split evenly, who owes whom. Set a monthly budget if you want one. It covers shops, not rent or bills.
Hosting
Plan a dinner.
Dinner party, birthday, Sunday roast. Add guests and what they eat, split the prep list, send ingredients to the shopping list, and keep costs against a budget.

- How do the others join?
- One person makes the home and sends a link or a six-character code. Each person joins with it and someone already in the home approves them.
- How many people?
- Up to eight in one home. You can be in more than one home, for example your flat and your parents' house, and switch on the Home tab.
- Is it free?
- Yes. No ads.
- Is there an Android app?
- Not yet. Tandem is on iPhone.
- Where is the data stored?
- In Google Firebase, in London. Only the people in your home can read it. No trackers, nothing sold. Details in the privacy policy.
