Tandem is a free app for people who live together to share a shopping list, chores, hosting plans and spending. Using it means you agree to the points below.

What Tandem is

A coordination tool for a home. It is in early release: features change, and occasionally something breaks. It is not a financial service, and the amounts you enter are your own notes, not payments.

Your account

• You sign in with Google, Apple, or an email address and password. Keep that sign-in to yourself; what happens under it is yours.
• You must be 13 or over.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings. That removes you from every home and deletes your profile and sign-in.

Homes and the people in them

• Data you add to a home (items, chores, events, spending) is shared with everyone in that home. That is the point of the app. Add only what you are happy for them to see.
• The person who creates a home is its owner and can name admins. Admins approve requests to join and can remove members. If you leave or are removed, what you added stays with the home, without your account attached.
• Only invite people you actually live with or plan with. Do not use the app to harass anyone, including through notifications.

Your content

It is yours. We do not claim ownership of anything you type, scan or photograph. We only store it so the app works, as described in the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

• Use Tandem for household coordination. Do not try to access homes you are not a member of, probe the service, or automate requests against it.
• Product data comes from Open Food Facts under its open licence; do not scrape it through the app.

Availability and liability

Tandem is provided as it is, without warranties, and we do our best to keep it running. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it or from it being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new version.
